Core Values

As an athlete who has recovered from anorexia and hypothalamic amenorrhea, the importance of fueling our body with adequate nutrition whilst also enjoying all foods is at the core of both my personal journey and my approach as a dietitian.

A balanced approach to nutrition is fundamental to overall well-being, supporting physical health outcomes as well as mental, social and emotional well-being. All foods can have a place, and learning to remove unnecessary fear or restriction around food is a key part of building a sustainable and positive relationship with eating. Nutrition should enhance your life, not control it.

At the same time, I place a strong emphasis on ensuring the body is adequately fuelled — particularly for active individuals and athletes — where sufficient energy and carbohydrate intake is essential for performance, recovery, and long-term health.

My approach is grounded in:

  • Fueling for performance with adequate energy and carbohydrates

  • An “all foods fit” philosophy

  • Challenging diet culture and cutting through nutrition misinformation

  • Supporting eating disorder recovery and hypothalamic amenorrhoea recovery (including regaining a regular menstrual cycle)

  • Building a positive, flexible relationship with food

  • Supporting physical and psychological well-being

  • Individualised, realistic, and sustainable strategies
